Who we are
I Am Your IT is a registered business name of Andrew McGrath, a web design and IT services business based in Co. Kildare, Ireland. You can reach us at andrew@iamyourit.ie.
What we collect
When you fill in our contact form we collect your name, email address and whatever you write in your message. That is all. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the work you have asked for. We do not sell your information to anyone, ever, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for two years and then deleted. Client records are kept for six years, because Irish tax law requires it.
Who else sees it
To run the service we use a small number of trusted providers: Hetzner in Germany for hosting, Cloudflare for security and speed, Google for email and spreadsheets, and Resend for sending email. Each is bound by its own data protection obligations. Your data is stored in the EU wherever possible.
Work we do for clients
When we build a website for a business, enquiries from that website are passed to that business. In that situation we are handling the data on their behalf, they decide what happens to it, and their own privacy policy applies. We do not use it for anything of our own.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email andrew@iamyourit.ie and we will deal with it within 30 days, free of charge. If you are unhappy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the bottom of this page.
